Boil on Back
Boil On Back is back with the second installment of the series, featuring some of the best and worst boiled eggs from the 2016/17 Premier League campaign.
As always, I’ll be featuring the best of the worst boiled egg, and the best boiled eggs that I’ve tried over the course of my career.
These are some of my favourite boiled eggs in the Premier League this season, with each one having been given its own special flavour.
In the first installment, we had the wonderful Boil on Back from the likes of Swansea City, Newcastle United, Arsenal and Everton, and as always the results were superb.
The egg had a nice, soft texture, and was coated with a rich and delicious caramelised yolk.
But, it was the Bolero from Southampton, that was my favourite of the bunch.
I’ll admit, I was a bit worried about the quality of this one, because it wasn’t really boiled, but after taking a closer look at the picture, I decided it was worth it.
With this recipe, the batter was thickened with a little extra flour and cooked in a deep-fryer for a bit longer, before being served with a side of crunchy, crunchy broccoli and a splash of lemon on top.
It wasn’t the most spectacular egg I’ve ever had, but the flavours were delicious.
Now that we’ve got our hands on this recipe from Southampton, I’m looking forward to making a Biolero of my own in the near future.
